John,
A new report revealed that Wall Street spent more than $4 million a day on lobbying and influencing members of Congress in the 2020 election cycle.
While millions of working families struggled to make ends meet during the COVID-19 pandemic, the financial industry was spending millions of dollars a day to influence Congress to give them more tax cuts.
This isn’t what politics should be about, John. Public servants should be fighting for their constituents, not whoever has the deepest pockets.
That’s why Katie doesn’t accept any corporate PAC or lobbyist money. If someone wants to meet with Katie on Capitol Hill, they need to bring good ideas—not money.
If you believe in this people-centered politics, please consider chipping in $3 or whatever you can afford towards Katie’s re-election campaign so she can continue advocating for working families instead of Wall Street.

One of the problems with mainstream politics today is that most politicians accept corporate PAC and lobbyist money—meaning our campaign is at an immediate disadvantage when it comes to fundraising. While some are raking in millions from Wall Street and Big Oil lobbyists, Katie and our campaign rely on grassroots donors like you.
And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way, John. Not being tied to any hidden agendas or corporations is what makes Katie’s way of legislating so powerful.
Can you chip in what you can to support Katie’s way of people-powered politics? Our campaign needs to raise $350,000 by midnight on April 30 to hit our goal.
Thank you for your support,
Katie Porter for Congress
