Friend: After six long years of conflict, people in Yemen are still facing several life-threatening crises. Since January, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams have seen disturbing violence against civilians and spikes in severe malnutrition among children, both happening amidst a marked shortfall in humanitarian assistance.
Now add to these compounding crises a devastating second wave of COVID-19, with extremely limited access to treatment and vaccines. This recent outbreak has pushed Yemen’s health care infrastructure to the brink.
MSF teams have worked in Yemen since 2015, adapting and mobilizing to treat patients, often going where others can’t or won’t. We need the help of committed supporters like you to ensure our teams have the resources they need.
If you’re in a position to help and want to maximize the impact of your first gift, consider becoming a monthly donor. As an independent, impartial organization, we depend on the consistent support of monthly donors to help us treat patients where we’re needed most—often where other organizations can’t or won’t go.
Giving monthly makes you a Field Partner, which grants you special access to MSF, including a complimentary subscription to our newsletter, Alert, and access to exclusive events, live calls, and important updates from the places we work.
MSF is working with local health authorities to respond to COVID-19, but people in Yemen are still facing ongoing violence and a humanitarian crisis. Our teams will continue to provide crucial support where it’s needed most.
