But it’s crucial if we want to get things done.

Washington, D.C., is broken, John.

And when I see that something isn’t working, I can’t help but go into doctor mode, try to diagnose the problem, and get to work to fix it.

What I’ve found is there aren’t enough U.S. Senators actually listening to the people impacted by the decisions they make in Washington. I’ll be different.

We’ve seen enough yelling, fighting, and Republican obstruction in Congress. That’s never gotten us anywhere. The truth is, we need more leaders willing to do the hard work they were elected to do and actually get things done.

I have shown that I can here at home — higher wages and paid parental leave for county workers, some of the lowest taxes in our region, and concrete steps toward cleaner energy.

Now, I want to get things done in Washington for all Pennsylvanians.

From rebuilding our infrastructure and creating good-paying union jobs, to protecting and expanding voting rights, we can deliver real results for Pennsylvania and our country in the U.S. Senate.

But first I’m counting on you to help our campaign build the support necessary to get there. That starts with meeting our very first end-of-month goal of $75,000 in just two days.

If everyone reading this email gives $5 or more today, we can reach our goal in no time — will you chip in before our deadline so I can fight for real solutions in the U.S. Senate?
