When I asked for submissions of energy hypocrites for my “Friend of Fossil Fuels” award, you delivered.

Over the last month, I’ve received an overwhelming amount of submissions. You’ve sent in celebrities, politicians, woke companies, even your neighbors! But one name has popped up more than anyone else: John Kerry.

John Kerry is exactly the kind of climate hypocrite that angers Americans, and he embodies everything I had in mind when I created the “Friend of Fossil Fuels” award.

Kerry stands on his bully pulpit to preach clean energy and shames hard-working Americans for living our lives and utilizing the affordable and reliable energy sources that we have at our disposal. Meanwhile, he’s living a life of luxury – flying in private jets, driving around in gas-guzzling Suburbans, and powering his many mansions with a carbon footprint larger than many small countries.

As Biden’s Climate Envoy, Kerry demonizes traditional energy sources, like fossil fuel. But did you know that fossil fuel is one of the cleanest sources of reliable energy?

Just last week, I brought 17 Members of Congress home to Tulsa, where we met with leading executives from Oklahoma’s energy sector and learned about our state’s successful all-of-the-above approach to energy. Our grid is powered by a combination of coal, hydro, natural gas, solar, and more. This creates a clean and reliable – and most importantly, affordable – energy system for Oklahoma families and businesses.

Oklahoma is the number 2 state in clean energy production! We know a thing or two about energy, which is why I’m extending an open invitation to John Kerry to come here and learn how our system works.

I’m glad to give John Kerry the credit he deserves as our nation’s leading climate hypocrite. Thank you for your submissions – I’m going to make this an annual award, so keep in mind who you want to see named next year’s “Friend of Fossil Fuels”.

In the meantime, I’m working hard in Congress to promote all-of-the-above energy policies and protect the high-paying energy jobs Biden is determined to destroy. Conservatives need your help!
