In addition to guiding principled lawmakers on Capitol Hill, the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) is also supporting several new non-profit groups that are fighting for our country in unique ways. One of these partners is an exciting initiative called America First Legal (AFL) - the conservative answer to the ACLU.

 

AFL was founded by President Trump's longtime Senior Advisor, Stephen Miller, and has already helped craft critical lawsuits with the goal of challenging EVERY unconstitutional move by the Biden Administration.

 

I want to highlight two recent AFL actions.

 

First, one of the most outrageous policies of the Biden Administration is its dissolution of our national borders in the middle of a global pandemic. This is dangerous, illegal, and unconstitutional.

 

While you, as a citizen, are being required to comply with all manner of pandemic restrictions, it's a complete lawless free-for-all on the southern border - with massive numbers of illegal aliens packed together before being released into the interior of the United States.

 

Thankfully, America First Legal is fighting back!

 

Last week, AFL partnered with the State of Texas to sue the Biden Administration in federal court over its illegal Catch-and-Release policies, which violate both federal law and existing coronavirus regulations. AFL, acting as Outside Counsel for Texas, is suing to stop the mass release of illegal migrants during the pandemic.

 

Public health regulations and federal law require all illegal crossers to be removed from the country as quickly as possible. AFL will not stand by and allow this lawbreaking to continue, which is why it is seeking an injunction to compel the Biden Administration to abide by both federal law and public health mandates, and promptly return all who violate our borders.

 

Second, AFL filed suit to stop the Biden Administration from implementing a program created by Congress in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which discriminates against American farmers and ranchers based upon their race. The plaintiff in the suit is Sid Miller, Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture. AFL will fight to defend equal rights for all citizens and strongly oppose race-based discrimination.
