John —

Joe Biden has a historic opportunity to expand Medicare right now. And we need to make sure he takes it.

Later tonight, President Biden is giving his first address to a joint session of Congress — and what a welcome change it will be after four long years of Donald Trump. Finally, we have a president who understands the pain the American people have endured in this pandemic and is committed to doing something about it.

For years, Trump lied about “saving protections for pre-existing conditions,” saying your health care would become “the best ever, by far,” and promising a plan we never saw – while Republicans repeatedly tried to rip away health care for millions.

Republicans use the straw-man threat of losing health care to divide us. It’s time to unite around what the majority of Americans agree on: We need universal health care.

So the bottom line is this:

Democrats are working to pass the American Jobs Plan to speed our recovery and rebuild America.

And as we restore the health of our nation, we need President Biden to take advantage of this historic moment and dramatically expand Medicare.

Right now, we can lower the Medicare eligibility age, expand coverage to include dental, vision, and hearing, and negotiate reduced drug prices as we work toward Medicare for All.

For the first time in years, we are on the verge of expanding health care to millions more people. And today, we can make sure President Biden hears us:

Join me in urging President Biden: Medicare expansion cannot wait another day. Add your name to my petition calling on the President to act and seize this historic moment to expand Medicare.

Add Your Name

Now more than ever, I am hopeful that we can get this done. And your voice is a major part of that.
