Hi Friend, I’m reaching out to ask for your help.
When I was 18, I got elected to my hometown school board and became one of the youngest elected officials in the country -- thanks to hard work, an incredible team, and the support of Democrats like you. It wasn’t easy. We were up against serious Republican firepower, backing the sitting president of the school board. We beat those odds because of a groundswell of caring Texans who knew their community deserved better and stepped up to fight for it.
Here’s the thing, Friend. Today, that same kind of groundswell is rising up all around Texas. Democrats have more power than ever before -- and we’re making noise.
Which is why Republicans are trying to shut down our vote, and why I need your help today.
By now, you’ve probably heard that Republicans are pushing a barrage of voter suppression bills through the Texas Legislature. House Bill 6 and Senate Bill 7 are the worst assault on voting rights in our state since Jim Crow. Republicans are pushing forward these racist bills for one reason: they’re terrified of diverse Texans -- like the ones who powered my underdog campaign to victory.
That’s cowardly. It’s undemocratic, un-American, and just plain wrong.
And it’s up to us to fight back.
We need to elect Democrats so that bills like this never see the light of day again. And we need to throw all our weight into stopping these hateful bills from going through. Friend, will you chip in $7 or whatever you can to the Texas Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Fund today?

Our Democratic legislators are doing everything they can to stop these bills from going through. But they can’t do it alone. They need our entire movement mobilized behind them.
Thank you for fighting and please join me by contributing today,
