This special announcement is to notify you of an opportunity to participate in an upcoming special event Tuesday, May 11, 5:00 p.m. with Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands). You may recognize Congresswoman Plaskett for her compelling work as a House Manager for the Second Impeachment Trial of Donald Trump. As a former prosecutor from the Bronx, she has continued to speak out on current issues and is a rising Democratic star.

Congresswoman Plaskett is the keynote speaker for this year’s unique, Zoom only, Fresno County Democratic Party Fundraiser. Also on the program are Congressman Jim Costa (CD16) and Mistress of Ceremonies Amanda Renteria, former National Political Director for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and past candidate for California Congressional District 21.

This will be an outstanding event and will provide ‘behind the curtain' insight into current and recent events (can you say ‘insurrection’?). You’ll be sorry later if you weren’t there.

Just as importantly, the proceeds of this event will support the Fresno County Democratic HQ. Having a physical location for the Democratic Party locally has been crucial for Democratic gains, especially in Fresno City and various rural communities. As you know, we are completely self-supporting, and depend on the generosity of local Democrats to support our many, critical activities. Without your help, we could not maintain our HQ or do any of the things we need to do in the coming year. We hope that you will participate in the event and help make it a success!
