Friend,
Joe Biden has been president for almost 100 days. What's he done on climate so far?
As Evergreen's research manager, it's my job to know. I've run the numbers and so far, President Biden has committed to or enacted 65 actions directed at defeating the climate crisis.
Of those 65 actions, 60 overlap with the Evergreen Action Plan (our signature policy plan, adapted from Governor Inslee's presidential campaign).
And 51 overlap with our Five to Mobilize campaign (which proposed five actionable policy plans for 21 federal agencies).
This impact is no coincidence. Thanks to our growing community of donors and supporters, we've been able to promote these ideas and put them in front of decision-makers.
With your help, our impact will continue to grow: Donate today before our end-of-month deadline at midnight on Friday to support the next phase in Evergreen's work to defeat the climate crisis and build a thriving, just and inclusive clean energy future.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
92% and 78% overlap shows we're driving the national climate agenda, and our donors make it possible. But we need an all-out government mobilization to defeat the climate crisis, and there is so much work left to do.
When you contribute to Evergreen, you're helping us advocate for these important policies to Congress and the White House. There's no guarantee that we'll have Democratic majorities in the House and Senate after next year. That's why we're aggressively urging policymakers to pass a 100% Clean Electricity Standard (CES) 2035, create a Civilian Climate Corps (CCC), and take other bold climate action now.
The CES and CCC are just two key policies that made the jump from the Evergreen Action Plan to the American Jobs Plan. This is the impact of our work, and your donation today will ensure we can do more of it.
Because of you, we've made considerable progress in 100 days, but this is just the start. Will you chip in today, before Friday's end-of-month deadline, to increase our impact on tangible and bold climate action?
Thanks for all you do,
Trevor Dolan
