Phil is running to unseat incumbent Republican Robert Bloxom and flip Virginia's 100th legislative district from red to blue. Progressives only need to flip TWO House seats to make a Democratic majority and flip control of the chamber, and this hotly contested race could be the key!
Phil was born and raised in Hampton Roads and was the first in his family to graduate from college. He spent his career as an attorney advocating for low-income and working-class families, and has always invested his time and energy in building up his community. Phil values investing in public education, democracy reform, Medicaid expansion, and reducing pollution by protecting green spaces.
