A child at the border needs your help.

"I am grateful to my USCRI lawyer! Because of her hard work, I have legal residency in this great and beautiful country and I can achieve my dreams and goals. I thank God that I am here."
- Jairo, who came to the U.S. on his own, displaying his high school diploma
Dear Friend,

This is the final week of our fundraising campaign to provide legal services to children who have come to the U.S. alone. If you've already donated, thank you! If not, we hope you'll consider a gift today.
No child should have to navigate the immigration system on their own, not speaking the language or understanding their rights. You can make sure every child has an advocate by their side in court. Make your gift at [link removed]. ([link removed])

Jairo, pictured above, was 14 years old when he was abandoned by his father in Honduras and made the difficult journey to the U.S. on his own. He was sent to North Carolina, where USCRI took on his case.

"I remember meeting Jairo for the first time," says USCRI attorney Hila Moss. "He was scared and he spoke hardly any English. Look at him now! He graduated from high school and has a bright future ahead of him. I'm so glad we could help him get his green card so he can begin his new life."

Your gift today can make all the difference for a child who came to the U.S. on their own, hoping for a life of safety and peace. Thank you.
