Folks, I’ve known that our working families need more advocates in Congress for a long time. In 2017, I decided to step up and run for office myself.

But before that, I was doing exactly what you’re doing now.

I would check my inbox, read the news, and look for up-and-coming leaders who needed my support. And I would chip in what I could afford, often just $5 at a time.

I supported these leaders because I believed in their visions -- and that they had the skills to get it done. I just hoped that my small-dollar donation would actually make a difference.

Now that I’m on the other side of things, I can confidently confirm it: every dollar you donate makes a real impact on this campaign. Right now, our April fundraising numbers are trailing behind our projections, and I’m asking you to chip in $5 or more to help us hit our end-of-month deadline.

Serving as MI-11’s first Congresswoman has been the honor of a lifetime. With your support, I’ve been able to pass groundbreaking bills to empower Michigan manufacturers, uplift working families, and improve quality of life in our district with better services and investments in infrastructure.

Now I’m a top target of the national Republican establishment, and just like in previous elections, they’re going to spend millions of dollars on dishonest attack ads in our district. We’re only able to get the truth out and connect with voters because of your contributions.
