Voters made history last year by turning out in record numbers across Michigan and I am excited about this year's City of Detroit elections. I believe in building partnerships with other public servants who are dedicated to the same values and hard work and there is a lot at stake in this fall election for Detroiters.













I am honored to support my friends Denzel McCampbell for Detroit City Clerk, Gabriela Santiago-Romero for Detroit City Council - District 6, and Latisha Johnson for Detroit City Council - District 4!









I have known Denzel for a long time - he managed my first campaign back in 2014 and has been a true friend and co-conspirator in so much social justice organizing and advocacy. He knows voting rights inside and out, is incredibly smart, knows how to organize and engage people in communities that are often forgotten, and has what it takes to be a truly amazing Detroit City Clerk! He has been a tireless advocate, always lifting up equity, opportunity and justice.

Gabriela ran our Girls Making Change fellowship program for high school girls of color for several years and is a fellow social worker. It's been awesome working with her on issues such as driver's licenses and housing justice. She is committed, hard working, and passionate about making a difference for Southwest Detroit. I can't wait to partner with my friend Gaby on even more initiatives when she gets to Detroit City Council!

Latisha is an incredible community leader on the East Side of Detroit. Her work with MECCA is truly inspirational -- from convening lessons to teach upholstery to holding resource fairs and getting care kits to people during the COVID-19 pandemic, Latisha is always helping others. She has a strong pulse on what's going on in our neighborhoods and has been unafraid to be outspoken on issues of social and economic justice. I am excited to be able to work with her to serve the East Side when she gets to Detroit City Council!
