This Saturday, come binge some crawfish with us! 8th Annual Free Enterprise Crawfish Boil! May 1, Noon - 4pm. The Powder Keg, 1300 Brittmoore Rd, Houston, Tx 77043 Every year we've done it, and every year it's been a blast. Why should YOU come? Delicious food. Crawfish are succulent. Those potatoes soaked in seasoning satisfy that carb craving. Those corns on the cob are just like family dinners growing up. Camaraderie. In Texas you shouldn't complain, but it's not always easy being a Republican in a big city. Our events aren't some "safe space" where your views are stifled. Talk GOP shop all you want, with friends and friendly faces. Newcomers are always welcome and welcome to bring friends. And we always have attendees of every age. Conservative raffle items. Texas stuff, puppy gear, reading material, hilarious gifts, and that precious and rare ammunition. A couple wonderful items from our wonderful sponsors. Drink tickets for members. We want to reward our members for coming out and we can do so in a way that makes membership a little bit more comradely. Venue. The Powder Keg is a family and dog friendly venue with outdoor games such as cornhole and volleyball. We'll all be getting a bit of sunlight, God willing, but will be indoors if there's inclement weather. Free Enterprise. In addition to being a yearly fundraiser, we use the boil to celebrate free markets and the voluntary exchange of goods and services. Which means that if you CAN come but DON'T come, that's the first step towards communism.
