I know it can be frustrating that we need to fundraise this early in the race. Trust me -- I don’t like having to do this just as much as you don’t like getting requests for money. But these emails help make it so I can spend less time fundraising, and more time doing the work my constituents elected me to do for them.

But John, the GOP establishment has already listed me as one of their top targets in 2022. And now a nonpartisan report calculated that I sit in the reddest seat represented by a Democrat in the entire House of Representatives.

Special interest groups, corporate PACs, and mega donors are preparing right now to spend buckets of cash to stop our movement, which is why I’m reaching out to you today.

We need to be prepared to respond to whatever they throw our way -- but my team says we’re about $11,500 short of our April fundraising goal. Can I count on you to help out with a contribution of $5 or more today to help get us back on track?

In 2018 and 2020, we won by building a strong grassroots team capable of taking on big money. I know that’s how we’ll push back against the influx of outside cash coming up against us in 2022 too -- thanks to supporters like you chipping in what you can.
