Today, President Biden will deliver his first address to a joint session of Congress at 9 p.m. ET on the eve of his first 100-days in office.
We celebrated wins in 2020, despite the pandemic and deliberate barriers, voters turned out in record numbers and selected new leaders to ensure that we can care for our families and move us forward to a better future.
But our fight is not over with yet.
Within the first 100 days of the Biden administration, Advancement Office National Office has continued to push back against the barriers of the racist systems that oppress migrants and communities of color.

This year alone, 361 voter suppression bills have been introduced to silence voters at the polls [[link removed]] .
Countless Black and Brown people have been murdered by the police, including Adam Toledo [[link removed]] , Daunte Wright [[link removed]] , and Ma’Khia Bryant [[link removed]] . Although we welcomed the verdict in the Derek Chauvin murder trial of George Floyd, we recognize that this individual punishment does not hold the criminal legal system accountable for its discriminatory state [[link removed]] . It is not justice.
Children are still in cages at detention centers along the country’s border as we continue to call for the dismantling of the entire immigration detention system [[link removed]] with our partners.
Student assaults by police like the #AssaultAtLiberty [[link removed]] and #AssaultAtEustis continue to show us why the call for #PoliceFreeSchools in necessary.
The Asian American and Pacific Islanders community has experienced an alarming spike in violence over the last year, including the shooting of eight people [[link removed]] in Atlanta last month.
Advancement Project National Office is working to build a future where all people are free and safe by holding the Biden administration accountable and dismantling the racist systems that oppress immigrants and communities of color and defusing the hatred this state-codified violence implicitly inspires and endorses.
