In Minnesota, we have a proud tradition of being the number one state in the country for voter participation.
But Minnesota Republicans are working overtime to make it harder to vote. Just this week, MN GOP Senators passed yet another awful voter suppression bill—this time attacking the use of “vouching.”
Thousands of seniors, students, and people experiencing homelessness rely on a neighbor vouching for them under oath to exercise their right to vote. Without it, their voices would be silenced.
Republicans across the country are waging war on voting because they know they can’t win fair and square. It’s pathetic. Chip in to help us support our DFL leaders as they fight back and defend our voting rights!
While Governor Walz and our DFL leaders in the legislature work to pass solutions that would make voting more secure AND accessible to all Minnesotans, the MN GOP is following the lead of Republicans in Georgia by using Donald Trump’s Big Lie as an excuse to attack our democracy.
They’re relentless, too. Just three weeks ago, the MN Senate GOP passed a bill to end same-day voter registration as we know it and force Election Day registrants to cast provisional ballots that could be challenged later.
John, Minnesota Republicans are attacking the voting rights of our most vulnerable communities in a desperate attempt to maintain their power. We can’t let them get away with it.
With only a few weeks of the legislative session remaining, time is running out to make sure these voter suppression provisions do not become law. Pitch in to help us support our DFL leaders in the legislature fighting to protect our voting rights.
