On Fox News the other night, Tammy Bruce said the Paris Agreement is like America being "the world’s ATM."

The Paris Agreement, like countless other international agreements and treaties, is really just an international redistribution of Americans' wealth. So, naturally, there is concern about President Biden’s climate change-heavy, $2 trillion “infrastructure” package… and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal.

AOC introduced the Green New Deal resolution (again)—just in time to mark Biden’s 100th day in office—which will likely up the ante for the administration to ram through more high-priced, ineffective climate change policies.

The Green New Deal acts as a roadmap of the far left’s most aggressive vision of a complete energy and environmental overhaul. We’ve seen the consequences of aggressive proposals meant to force an economy to use favored energy sources.

The proposals fail to meaningfully reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Instead, they result in unreliable energy sources and skyrocketing energy prices for citizens.

Biden’s plan to tackle climate change through aggressive government action would hit lower-income Americans the most.

A 2014 Stanford study found “that it is ultimately people—not corporations—who would bear the costs of climate change regulation.”

We should avoid these policy errors and, instead, continue our long history of adapting to new challenges with new technology.
