John -- The Census Bureau officially announced its long-awaited reapportionment figures and the results are a mixed bag.
States losing ONE Congressional District:
California, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia
States gaining ONE Congressional District:
Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, Oregon
Lastly, my home state of Texas will gain not one, but TWO new congressional districts!
This redistricting is going to impact congressional races, and candidates are going to need our help to adapt their strategy successfully. There’s a real risk one of our elected BNC reps could be impacted by these changes.
We’ve got to be ready for anything. Can you give $7 today to elect brand new leadership all across the country?
In every corner of the country, district lines are set to be redrawn. Many of these states have right-wing extremists in their legislatures, while the others have corporate interests bearing down on the political process.
And they will do what they have always done -- gerrymander the maps to silence progressive voices, and carve out districts for their handpicked candidates.
John, you deserve better than hand-picked successors and corporate puppets -- which is why we are investing deeply in our candidates to give them all the tools they need to win.
We’ve got to meet this machine with a movement.
Will you contribute $7 today so we are equipped to support our slate of bold, progressive candidates for 2022?
True representative democracy happens when we fight, organize and vote for it. Our state legislatures may decide the map, but the PEOPLE decide who goes to Congress in 2022.
Let’s keep fighting!

Brand New Congress
Since 2016 BNC has led the way in advancing popular policies like Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and Abolishing ICE. In 2018 we recruited and elected AOC. In 2020, we elected Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman.
We are building yet another strong slate of progressives for 2022. Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
