Katie is a housing activist that ran and defeated an incumbent in 2020 despite
being outspent 3 to 1. Not long after, organizer Mai Vang joined her, the very first Asian American woman to join the council.
The two have built a beautiful friendship and, in just a few months, revolutionized politics in Sacramento.
