John, Yesterday, we learned North Carolina will get a 14th congressional district in next year’s election, as expected. But first, all our districts will have to be drawn to reflect population movements in the last decade. And so will our crucial state legislative maps. At NCLCV, we believe strongly in two things:
Unfortunately our current legislative leaders don’t agree. They’ve gerrymandered our districts for the last decade and targeted Black voters’ rights with “surgical precision.” And all so the polluters who fund their campaigns can write the policies that harm our most vulnerable North Carolinians. Next year, with your help, we’ll change that. Click here to renew your NCLCV membership, John » Pro-polluter politicians know we’re coming for their seats, so they’re stopping at nothing to deny our power to vote. But the stronger our membership base is by the end of April, the stronger our power to elect a pro-environment, pro-democracy legislative majority will be next November. With three days until our deadline, we’re still $3,994 short of our goal. Please add John xxxxxx to our 2021 membership roster at the $50 or $25 level right now! » Because of you, we’ll have the power to hold our leaders accountable this year and elect leaders who will defend our voting rights, end gerrymandering, and protect our environment next year.
