Dear John,
Nearly every day, it seems the media is censoring conservatives and Christians with a biblical worldview. Just look at what happened in February in the span of one week.
First, without any notification, Amazon pulled Ryan Anderson's book, When Harry Became Sally, off its cyber shelf. "I hope you've already bought your copy," Ryan warned in a tweet. "Given the aggressive push on trans policies coming from the Biden administration, now is the time to read it...before you no longer can."
The same week that Congress was voting on the Equality Act, the book vanished off Amazon. Coincidence? Unlikely!
The reason Amazon gave to Ryan's publisher is that the book violates their content policy. It didn't matter that the book was a bestseller on the platform -- radicals like Jeff Bezos are not motivated by money alone, but by the power it gives them to control others -- others they disagree with.
The Left can't win the debate, so they shut down people on the side of scientific and moral truth.
That same week, two House Democrats from California wrote a letter to 12 cable, satellite, and streaming companies, accusing them of spreading lies and conspiracy theories. The letter was a strong-arm attempt to cancel conservative news outlets like Newsmax, One America News Network (OAN), and even Fox.
Of course, nothing in the letter called out leftward-leaning news outlets like MSNBC and CNN.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) remarked on Washington Watch that the Left's game plan is to push conformity to their way of thinking, or they will shut you up. "Think about that," Blackburn said. "They [Democrats] are trying to get your cable carrier to drop Fox, Newsmax, or OAN, and why? Because they [news outlets] have a different political opinion than them."
The Left is taking action to control not only what you read but what you hear over the airwaves, too.
Family Research Council will not stand by while biblical truth is silenced. With your help, John, we will stand up to them -- defending every citizen's First Amendment rights.

With companies like Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, and Google canceling books, banning users, dropping accounts, and slapping warning labels on proven facts, Americans need a place to speak the truth without fear. Andrew Torba created the alternative social media platform Gab as a safe haven for free speech. "When I first started this," he explained on Washington Watch, "the goal was just to build an alternative social network. But really what we've become is an alternative to Silicon Valley."
And not a moment too soon!
"Things are escalating to the point where they're calling the Bible hate speech," Torba warned. "They're calling the words of Christ hateful and bigoted. And things are escalating."
Given the way big tech is going, alternative outlets like Gab are needed for the public square of the future. Obviously, in communities with millions of users, not everyone will share the same faith and values. But vigorous debate or conversation between people who disagree shouldn't scare anyone.
What should scare us is censorship and virtual book burning.
FRC has been on the frontlines exposing the bias and censorship against conservatives on multiple media platforms. Will you join us by giving your best gift today to equip FRC to raise our voices and stop the censorship of biblical values?
At FRC, we utilize our media platforms to inform believers about our culture that is increasingly hostile to the truth of God. We do this not to discourage you, but to equip you in how to pray and stand firm to advance a Christ-centered culture.
Your prayers and financial support sustain us in our mission to preserve the First Amendment and protect faith, family, and freedom.
