Dear Friend,
Please join me this Friday at 2:00 PM Eastern for the next episode of the Smokescreen Facebook Live Interview Series.
As the US Attorney for Colorado, Mr. Troyer called out Big Pot in an op-ed for The Denver Post arguing that it was “high time we took a breath from marijuana commercialization.”
His piece pointed out that since 2012, youth marijuana use in Colorado was 85% higher than the national average, marijuana-related traffic fatalities were up by 151%, the illicit market was booming, and pot shops in the state were recommending their high potency products to pregnant women.
Recently, Mr. Troyer once again made waves in Colorado with another op-ed endorsing the effort by State Representative Yadira Caraveo to follow the lead of Vermont in implementing a cap on THC potency in marijuana products.
He even took the further step in calling on voters in the state to vote out lawmakers who oppose this evidence-based attempt to protect public health.
