This past weekend, Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired more than 40 rockets into Israel, targeting innocent Israeli civilians.
Thankfully, the terror that ensued from red-alert rocket sirens was once again met with the resounding booms of Iron Dome intercepting rockets overhead.
Israel’s ability to defend its citizens with lifesaving systems like Iron Dome is a direct result of the annual security assistance we lobby Congress for each year. And we must never take this assistance for granted.
This weekend’s rocket attacks came just a week after the introduction of a new bill that would restrict aid to Israel. These events demonstrate the importance of our work, and the need for us to stay forever vigilant in ensuring Israel can defend itself, by itself.
