After a strong and successful end-of-quarter push last month, our fundraising has slowed down significantly in April.
From passing a D.C. statehood bill to introducing reparations legislation on the House floor, Barbara has been busy in Congress, which hasn’t left much time to focus on campaign fundraising this month. We haven’t been sending as many fundraising emails lately because there were just too many legislative highlights we wanted to update you on!
But looking over the campaign’s numbers as we near the end of the month, it’s clear we have some critical ground to make up, which is why we’re setting a $10,000 grassroots donation goal before Friday at midnight.

Campaign finance can seem like an afterthought in times like these. With so many progressive priorities on the agenda in Biden’s first 100 days in office, Barbara’s number one focus has been securing legislative results that people have been waiting for.
But we can’t forget what’s at stake next year — Republicans only need to flip a handful of seats to win back the House.
