The good news is, we're winning. So far this year, we've seen:
3 Republican Governors (AR, ND, and SD) veto bans on transgender youth from participating in sports;
multiple bills have stalled in legislatures across the country; and,
a federal judge dismissed a Connecticut lawsuit that targeted transgender girls in sports.
But we can't stop now. Nine states across the country still have pending anti-LGBTQ bills that could be passed into law any day now. We need $5,843.25 to keep our program going. A gift of just $58.43 from 100 of our supporters could keep our phone program moving. Give today.
This year has been incredibly rough for transgender people. We are hurting. These attacks are deeply personal, and in some states where bills have passed or are close to passing, families are preparing to leave their state to be able to access care. Those who can't afford to move will be stuck, left without access to care, and a state government that criminalizes them. We can't give up on them.
Equality Federation won't give up. Our call program has been able to send 1,487 messages to legislators from real constituents in their district. We can't let up now - we must continue to show them the truth: the vast majority of people across the country oppose laws that attack transgender kids.
