It’s really as simple as this: Elections matter. They have direct consequences -- both good and bad.
We saw the negative outcomes with the election of Donald Trump and his Administration’s rollbacks of environmental protections, his tax plan that gave tax cuts to the richest in our country, and his relentless attacks on access to health care and the integrity of our elections.
But we’ve also seen the good.
We organized in 2020 and sent Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House and flipped the Senate. And because we did that, we were able to pass the American Rescue Plan -- a piece of legislation that has a real, tangible, and immediate impact on people’s lives.
That’s what our grassroots organization is all about: electing leaders who will fight for the change that Americans need. And now, I need to ask for your help as I run for re-election. Please -- chip in to our campaign before the end-of-month deadline → [[link removed]]
I ran for office to fight for change -- to fight for climate action; for equity in health care, housing, and education; for justice and equality.
And I’m not done yet. I love serving in the Senate, and want to keep delivering for the people of Hawaii and for Americans across the country.
Your grassroots support gives us the tools and financial resources to run a strong campaign that can bring home a win on Election Day. And that’s why I need to ask: Will you chip in to our campaign before April is over? [[link removed]]
Mahalo,
Brian
