Dear John,
Don't forget — El Día del Niño: Niños Migrantes No Acompañados (Children's Day: Unaccompanied Migrant Children), hosted by Gamaliel's Civil Rights of Immigrants Campaign, is coming up this Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. CT (7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT).
The event will be hosted on Zoom and live-streamed on the Gamaliel Facebook page: @gamalielnetwork [[link removed]] . To attend via Zoom, you must register in advance [[link removed]] . Once you have registered you will receive a unique link to join the meeting. Please do not share that link with others so that we can maintain the security of the Zoom meeting.
On the 100th day of President Biden’s term in office, we are taking action on behalf of the more than 20,000 Unaccompanied Migrant Children who have arrived in our country and are still awaiting reunification with their families. You will learn more about the issue of Unaccompanied Migrant Children in the U.S. and our demands for their support and care, including: 1) a fast, humane process of reunification with their family members; 2) partnership with their home countries to solve/reduce child migration and its causes; and 3) long-term emotional support and resources for child migrants. You will also learn how to take effective action to address this critical issue.
You have the opportunity to take immediate action by signing a petition that will accompany this letter [[link removed]] to Members of Congress. The petition can be signed here [[link removed]] .
We hope you will join us Thursday!
