Tomorrow, the Executive Director of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence Josh Horwitz will be testifying before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution. In 2013, Josh brought together a group of gun violence prevention researchers and academics to study methods to prevent individuals at risk of harming themselves or others from gaining access to firearms. The Consortium for Risk-Based Firearm Policy, as it came to be known, developed the modern ERPO law that built on existing laws in Connecticut and Indiana.

Since then, CSGV has been instrumental in helping pass, enact, and implement these laws in 17 more states and the District of Columbia.

Please consider contributing to help bring ERPO laws to all 50 states and develop more innovative life-saving gun violence prevention policies.
