I have good news and bad news about the results of the 2020 census, which just came out this week.

The good news is: We aren't losing any representation in Congress. Minnesotans did their civic duty by participating in the census, so we're holding on to eight seats. And MN-03, in particular, had the highest response rate in the state and in the nation!

Here's the bad news: With the census results confirmed, Republicans are moving full steam ahead with their plan to take us down next year -- and they've already said that unseating me is a top priority.

So here's the plan: We've set a goal of raising $25,000 by our end-of-month deadline. If we hit it, we'll be able to start building the foundation of the kind of campaign we need to run in 2022 to win. Will you chip in right now to help us get there?

It might seem like next year's election is way off in the distance, but it's not -- the work to win it starts right now. Your investment this month will help prepare us to go toe-to-toe against the GOP's dark money machine, which is going to ratchet up its attacks on me in months to come.

I'll be frank: This part of Minnesota has been a political battleground for decades, and there's no guarantee that we'll be able to hold this seat.
