It’s true. Through the global COVAX initiative, we’re ensuring the delivery of 2 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses this year to more than 180 countries, including 92 low- and middle- income countries.

It’s great that vaccines are really starting to roll out in the United States. But even if every single American is vaccinated, we aren’t safe until everyone is safe. Unfortunately many lower-income countries have fragile infrastructures and economies that create significant barriers to accessing COVID-19 vaccines. COVAX is the only solution where countries will receive equal access to vaccines.
We won’t stop until the fight against COVID-19 is won, Friend — and right now, we need Congress to support global vaccine distribution with additional funding and resources for UNICEF.
