I wanted to make sure you saw this breaking news from the New York Times: Kirsten and Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) will introduce a new, bipartisan bill to fix our broken military justice system and protect survivors of military sexual assault this Thursday.

As you know, Kirsten has fought for nearly a decade to deliver the justice and resources that survivors of military sexual assault deserve. Her new bill with Sen. Ernst expands upon her Military Justice Improvement Act to provide greater resources to prevent sexual assault and harassment.

If passed, the New York Times said this legislation "could usher in the biggest change to military rules since the repeal on the ban on service by gays and lesbians in 2010."
