Liberal Democrats Spotlight on the Vale of White Horse successfully preventing
homelessness

John, homelessness is a growing problem across the UK.

And this Tory government’s “hostile environment” policy, aiming to deport
non-British people without homes is not helping. It’s the typical Tory response
-aggressive, insensitive and inhumane.

My Liberal Democrat local council is carving out a more caring path. Vale of
White Horse Council in Oxfordshire is reducing homeless by understanding and
working with those affected - rather than punishing them.

We work in partnership with people who are about to become homeless. So far we
have prevented 79% of people at risk of homelessness from losing their homes.
Liberal Democrat councils pick up the slack where the government falls short.

Our councils work with their communities for a fairer, more caring local
environment.
