We are already working to have the strongest possible slate of candidates for the environment. Races for offices like City Council and Port Commissioner are critical because they will determine who is making decisions on how Washington addresses the climate crisis at the local level, how we protect the health of our communities, what we do to restore our waterways, and how our economies recover from the impacts of COVID-19.

Right now WCV is encouraging local leaders to run for office while also reinforcing for other candidates who are running that the environment is very much on voters’ minds.
