Time and again, I’ve heard in my career that a goal was too lofty, a target was too difficult, an achievement was too far away.
But time and again I’ve proved the critics wrong. We got stimulus checks to the American people despite overwhelming Republican opposition, we secured billions in relief for New York’s schools and small businesses, and we’re well on our way to passing the economy-changing American Jobs Plan.

There’s so much work we still need to do, John. We need to save the USPS by confirming Joe Biden’s new governors, make sure that family and medical leave is guaranteed for all workers, and give over 700,000 tax-paying Americans the right to representation with D.C. statehood.
As Chair of the House Oversight Committee, I’ll be playing a big part in ensuring that this legislation gets passed — and I know for a fact that this position of power opens me up to attacks. That means it’s time for us to focus up and keep this campaign going.
