Esso Pipeline: At the end of March, I spoke again with representatives from Esso and local Councillors regarding the construction of the Southampton to London Pipeline, which will impact Turf Hill. Whilst there will be inevitable disruption during construction, it was good to hear that Surrey Heath Borough Council will have an officer on site at all times to ensure the Site Specific Plan provided by Esso is strictly adhered to. I was also extremely pleased that Esso has agreed to hold a public meeting with local residents so that representatives can hear views and suggestions for projects that Esso might be able to undertake in the Turf Hill area as part of its Environmental Investment Programme.
Catalytic Convertor Thefts: Last month, I wrote to DI Alick James regarding a rise in catalytic convertor thefts and car crime in the Surrey area. He has since responded outlining how the Police have approached tackling this issue, and it is great to know that he has allocated a dedicated officer to investigate the problem - the officer is reviewing all of the offences to identify trends and patterns to help inform police patrol plans and investigations. I look forward to catching up with Alick face-to-face in the coming weeks, together with the Chief Constable of Surrey Police, Gavin Stephens. If you are worried about your catalytic convertor being stolen, there are measures that can be taken to mitigate the risk, and you can find more information here ([link removed]) .
Traffic delays on the A322 junction with the M3: Following my meeting in February, at the end of April I will be meeting again with Highways England representatives Nicola Bell, Regional Director South East Operations and Eloise Phillips, Technology Engineering Manager, together with representatives from Surrey County Council, to discuss long and short term solutions for improving traffic at this junction, which has been a huge inconvenience for so many Surrey Heath constituents.
Vaccinations in Surrey Heath: The Government has continued to meet its vaccination deadlines, meaning those over the age of 44 can now receive their vaccines. I have been so proud of the great work that is being done in Surrey to roll out the vaccine, and really enjoyed visiting Lakeside Vaccination Centre recently, where I expressed my gratitude and thanks for all the hard work being done by the NHS and volunteers. Should you have any queries about the local service more information can be found here ([link removed]) .

Covid-19 certification review: The Government has been investigating the role of Covid-19 status certification in the UK's recovery from the pandemic, and called for feedback from the public to inform its review which will conclude in June. This feedback is currently being analysed, but I remain eager to hear the thoughts of the public so please do not hesitate to contact me to share your views.
£200 million Port Infrastructure Fund opens for bids: The government is ramping up its preparations for the end of the transition period with the launch of a £200 million fund for ports to build new facilities, and you can find more information here ([link removed]) .
Covid-19 restrictions: On 12th April, the country moved on to the next phase of the Government's roadmap for recovery, meaning some of the rules surrounding what you are and aren't allowed to do have been changed. You can find out more information here ([link removed]) .
COVID-19 mental health and wellbeing recovery action plan: The Government has released its plan to prevent, mitigate and respond to the mental health impacts of the pandemic during 2021 to 2022, and you can find out more here ([link removed]) .
