Friends,

I wanted to share a short update below from our Interim Executive Director in Wisconsin, Carly Wilson.

After their election earlier this month, they’re gearing up for what’s next, so I hope you’ll take a moment to read more.

A’shanti F. Gholar
President, Emerge

-- Forwarded Message --

After the critical spring elections in Wisconsin, I wanted to share a few updates.

I’m excited to report that we now have two alums elected statewide, and 77% of our alums won their races. We’ve been celebrating elections of mayors, village presidents, and even our first judicial alum to serve as a judge in Milwaukee County!

With a competitive race for governor, Senate, and the state legislature next year, Wisconsin will be a top target for GOP superPACs and Republican extremists.

And with alums up and down the ballot, there’s no question that we could fundamentally alter the next chapter of Wisconsin politics.

But the only way we’re going to be able to continue to celebrate these big wins is by digging deeper and investing to build the bench of Democratic women in every corner of Wsiconsin — from Ashland to Sheboygan — we’ll be there to support women when they run.

Name/Please, if you are able, make a contribution to support Emerge’s critical work today.

In an organization that’s focused on the next decade, not just the next cycle, there’s no such thing as an ‘off-year’ which means we continually need resources to run, whether we can flip seats or elect another alum in a Democratic stronghold, we know our critical work must continue.

Thank you for being a part of this sisterhood,
Carly Wilscon
Interim Executive Director
Emerge Wisconsin

This email was sent to [email protected]. Emerge is a national organization working to recruit, train, and get Democratic women elected across the country, and we are so grateful to have you on our team. Our alums are strong voices for Democratic values — and they are working to bring their values up and down the ballot to fight for working families. They are fighting for critical issues that affect our communities like the environment, accessible and affordable healthcare, social justice and education equity. We need more alums fighting for us across the country.

Email is the best way for us to keep you informed about what’s happening with our work. You may notice that we send a lot of emails asking for your support—that’s because we win when everyone does what they can to help. Our organization depends on thousands of actual people who care about our democracy and want to see positive change in our communities and across our country by building power through investing in Democratic women.
