John, not every organization would be willing to share when they're running up against fundraising challenges — but that's exactly what we're facing at the moment:
As you can see, our online fundraising has slowed down considerably compared to last month. With just days to go until we close the books in April, we have to get back on track — and fast.
Month after month, we count on grassroots supporters like you to invest in the movement that we're building together — which is why we wanted to be transparent about where things stand. Can you make a contribution of $3 or more toward our end-of-month goal of 4,000 donations to help get us back on track?

We have a lot of work ahead of us. Here's what your grassroots contribution will support:
✊ Pushing the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress to make good on a jobs and care agenda to get us out of the overlapping economic and public health crises we're living through. We mobilized thousands of people for "Recovery Recess" actions earlier this month — and this week, we're working with Rep. Jamaal Bowman to deliver a bold vision in the official WFP response to President Joe Biden's joint address to Congress on Wednesday.
📢 Ensuring WFP can ramp up our recruiting and training of people-powered candidates up and down the ballot like Nina Turner, Malcolm Kenyatta, and Tishaura Jones — and run them to win.
🤝 Continuing to build a multiracial party that fights for workers over bosses and people over the powerful.
If you can afford it at this time, please make a contribution toward our April goal of 4,000 grassroots contributions to help us catch up on our monthly fundraising and sustain this work. We can create the change in the world we want to see — but only if we do it together.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
