Those in power have a choice, team: They can use their platform and resources to lift up others and fight for bold, progressive change — or use their influence to fan the flames of division and hate.
Time and time again, Ilhan has chosen the former — fighting every single day to bring about lasting progress with Medicare for All, universal school meals, and legislation to transform our justice system. She’s put her calls for empathy into action, joining our organizing team to check in with hundreds of folks and delivering groceries and supplies in Brooklyn Center after a police officer murdered Daunte Wright.
But radical right-wing members of Congress like Marjorie Taylor Greene do the opposite — she’s poured her time and resources into repeatedly attacking Ilhan and our team, inexplicably comparing the Black Lives Matter movement to the Ku Klux Klan, sympathizing with QAnon supporters and white supremacists, and spreading lies about the presidential election that incited the violent insurrection at the Capitol.
To make matters worse, Marjorie Taylor Greene raised more than $3 million in her first three months in Congress. With a massive war chest like this, there’s no telling what kind of misinformation and hateful attacks she’ll launch.
But unlike Marjorie Taylor Greene, we’ve hit a fundraising slump lately — that’s why we’re setting a $100,000 end-of-month goal to get back on track.
Meeting this goal will ensure we have the resources to fuel Ilhan’s work for progress, power our organizing efforts, and prepare for the onslaught of conservative attacks our campaign is bound to face.
If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to join our grassroots movement, that moment is now. Will you chip in $5 toward our end-of-month goal to help continue our work?
Thank you for meeting this moment with meaningful action. We couldn’t do this without you.
