Join Our Movement Colorado to Gain Its First New Congressional District in 20 Years John, we have some major Colorado politics news burning a hole through our pocket that we want to share with you! Colorado will gain a seat in Congress starting in 2023, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today β€” an expected change that will reshape the political landscape of Colorado and amplify our collective voice in Washington, DC. As it currently stands, it's unclear where the 8th Colorado Congressional district will be placed. The Colorado Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission, a panel of a dozen Colorado citizens, is tasked with the project of reshaping Colorado's congressional map. The commission has until December 2021 to finalize the redrawn congressional map, and the 8th Congressional District seat will be up for election in 2022. We are excited to get to work when the new congressional district is officially drawn, helping turn out the vote and securing another seat for Democrats in the U.S. Congress. Can you join us in our fight to remove hate mongers from Colorado’s Congressional delegation and keep Colorado Blue?
