Antonio Doss Selected Deputy Associate Administrator of Government Contracting and Business Development

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced Antonio Doss, District Director of the Washington Metropolitan Area District Office will take on the role of Deputy Associate Administrator of the Agency?s Office of Government Contracting and Business Development, effective April 25, 2021.

Doss will serve as a principal advisor to formulate and recommend policies that establish standards and procedures for the operation, improvement, execution, and oversight of small business contracting programs across the federal government. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, implementation of the 8(a) Business Development Program, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) program, the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) program and the SBA Mentor-Prot?g? Program.

Since 2013, Doss has served as District Director of the SBA?s Washington Metropolitan Area District Office, which includes the mission of providing technical assistance to the SBA?s largest portfolio of firms participating in the 8(a) Business Development Program. Among his team?s accomplishments is the issuance of more than $6 billion in federal contract offer letters annually.

Deputy District Director Shuraie Mackin, who joined the Washington Metropolitan Area District Office in 2012, will serve as Acting District Director until Doss? replacement is identified.
