One: Early reports of the 2022 Kansas governor's race declared Laura as "one of the most vulnerable incumbent Democrats up for re-election in 2022."

Two: Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced his campaign for governor.

Three: Former Governor Jeff Colyer officially launched his gubernatorial campaign after months of speculation.

What we need to do: This race is only going to get tighter as Republicans begin pulling out all the stops to defeat Laura. Our fundraising efforts are even more important than ever before, and we need to stay on track.
