Midlothian Police Officers Association Endorses Susan Wright for Congress
Arlington, TX — Susan Wright, Republican candidate for the May 1st special election in Texas' 6th Congressional District, today announced the endorsement of the Midlothian Police Officers Association.

"The Midlothian Police Officers Association would like to formally endorse Susan Wright for the 6th Congressional District of Texas," said Nicholas Barajas, President of the Midlothian Police Officers Association. “Susan's character, vision, perseverance and unwavering call for the support of law enforcement is a true representation of the Midlothian Police Officers Association and its members. Susan has shown herself through decades of public service to be an effective leader. Susan exemplifies honesty, fairness, and thoughtfulness. We are confident Susan will use those qualities to create a better balance between Washington and those she represents."

"Law enforcement officers across the 6th District put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities and keep us safe," said Susan Wright. "Unfortunately, radical liberals in D.C. and across our country are fighting to defund and dismantle our police forces. As your Congresswoman, I will stand behind our men and women in blue and fight to provide them with more resources, not less. I am honored to have the support of the Midlothian Police Officers Association and look forward to being a strong voice for our officers in Washington."

The Midlothian Police Officers Association (MPOA) was formed by members of the Midlothian Police Department to support officers, their families, and the community they serve.

Susan Wright is the widow of the late Rep. Ron Wright. She has been active in Texas politics for years, serving members of the state legislature, as committeewoman for the State Republican Executive Committee, and on numerous boards in TX-CD-6. In addition to the MPOA, Susan is proud to have the endorsement of Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn along with over 200 additional elected officials and community leaders.
