America continues to make progress on vaccinations, and safety measures like mask wearing and social distancing remain important. But the spread of highly infectious variants of COVID-19 is slowing the return to normal -- and is a likely cause for increased cases among children.

Dr. Nuzzo takes a thoughtful look at how this latest phase of the pandemic is impacting kids, including the risks of severe effects from the disease, the possibility of children transmitting the disease to others, and the prospects of safely vaccinating people under the age of 16.
