John,
Pro-choice women shattered ceilings, saved majorities, and flipped critical seats in 2020 -- and we aren’t stopping now. Today, we are thrilled to kick off Women Winning’s 2021 endorsement program with the endorsement of seven pro-choice women running for city council in Minneapolis and Duluth! In Minneapolis, Women Winning is proud to endorse LaTrisha Vetaw in Ward 4, Lisa Goodman in Ward 7, Andrea Jenkins in Ward 8, Emily Koski in Ward 11, and Linea Palmisano in Ward 13. In Duluth, Women Winning is proud to endorse Renee Van Nett in District 4 and Terese Tomanek At-Large. Local and municipal elected officials make decisions that impact our families and communities every day, including on reproductive rights, public safety, and much more. County boards determine zoning for abortion-providing clinics. City governments fund programs that promote reproductive health and support pregnant people. School boards determine sexuality and consent education. Pro-choice women’s voices must be represented at every level. Today’s endorsements are just the beginning of Women Winning’s determined effort to elect pro-choice women to key local and municipal offices across Minnesota in 2021. We will make endorsements throughout the year, and will continue organizing to ensure our candidates have the support, training, and resources to run formidable campaigns and WIN their elections. Thank you for being part of the powerful work to elect our best advocates. Let’s do this. ~Team Women Winning P.S. Thanks to the support of advocates like you, Women Winning’s robust training, one-on-one coaching, and organizing volunteer support is 100% free of charge for all pro-choice women in Minnesota.
