Friends, who we elect as governor of Louisiana matters. It matters a lot. These guys running against Gov. Edwards? They don't have what it takes. If they win this election, we'll be right back to where we were under Bobby Jindal – or worse.

Governor John Bel Edwards has what it takes. He's proven as much. Under his administration, the number of people with health insurance has gone up and crime has gone down. And as I was fond of saying way back during the Clinton campaign: "It's the economy, stupid." Unemployment is lower than it's been in a decade, and our GDP has never been higher. Anyone who says otherwise is full of it.

But none of that matters once it's all said and done. All that matters is who gets more votes. And that comes down to turnout. Early voting ends tomorrow, and we need to make sure we turn out every possible voter so that we can win on Oct. 12. Will you chip in $5 to help us do that?

Friends, I'll bet you already know who you're supporting in this election. You've probably known for a long time. But there are a lot of people who haven't decided. Heck, there are some people who don't even know there's an election coming up. For them, one knock on the door, one yard sign, one extra ad on their local station could make all the difference. And if we do that for enough undecided voters, we'll win. It's just that simple. But we can't let up now.

Thank you for supporting John Bel Edwards and for helping to keep Louisiana moving forward.
