Last month, Governor Kemp signed into state law one of the most egregious attacks on voting rights in modern history. Now, the RNC is rushing to defend these restrictive voting laws in court. This outrageous move is a direct response to the historic voter turnout we witnessed here in GA-07 and across the state in the 2020 general election.
Georgia Republicans know they can’t win on their record, so they’ve resorted to trying to make it harder to vote altogether. They even went as far as to criminalize handing out water to those waiting in line to vote. We must take this threat seriously and act urgently. But combating such aggressive efforts will take a tremendous amount of resources. We’re working hard to push back against these efforts by ensuring our grassroots foundation is strong enough to handle this challenge and the many more we can expect on the path towards Carolyn’s re-election.
