Welcome to Monday, April 26th, tadpoles and frogs....
Senators will return for another work week focused on confirming more nominees for positions in the Biden administration while their House colleagues begin the first of two weeks on recess.
The Senate starts its week with a procedural vote on the nomination of Jason Miller to be deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). If it succeeds, a confirmation vote will likely occur Tuesday.
After the Miller nomination, the Senate will likely take up the nominations of Janet McCabe to be deputy administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and Colin Kahl to be undersecretary of defense for policy.
Additionally, the Senate may take a vote on starting initial debate on a drinking water and wastewater infrastructure package.
How do you feel about this week’s congressional schedule?
