As I write to you today, I’m praying God will help me get the words right…

Because I’m greatly concerned by the actions of the new administration and their partnership with the abortion industry. They like to champion everyone’s rights…except those of innocent preborn children.

It’s clear, and it has been for some time, that a culture of death is their primary goal. Their true agendas are always cloaked in terms like “patient rights” and “health care.”

And even as I write, they’re seeking to unravel so many of the critical pro-life protections that are already in place. It’s all an attempt to make abortions even more convenient and accessible – especially in a world that’s still finding its feet after the pandemic.

In just one example, Planned Parenthood recently filed a lawsuit against pro-life protections for doctors.

These regulations – protecting the consciences of Christian doctors from being forced to promote or perform abortions – were put in place by the previous administration. But the new administration is weighing whether or not to drop these protections for doctors entirely.

And, despite the risks to mothers and their children, abortion advocacy groups have been pushing to eliminate the regulations on the abortion pill.

It’s about convenience. And…well, money. It’s no exaggeration to write that the abortion industry is a billion-dollar industry. Killing preborn children for money – that’s simply the madness we’re up against. Especially now…

When I think about how important this Matching Grant really is, I can’t help but think of “Jen.”

Jen had never felt more alone. Sitting in the waiting room of an abortion clinic, she couldn’t stop the tears from falling. This isn’t what she wanted. But Jen didn’t think she had any other options.

When she went into a backroom for her “consultation,” she was able to get an ultrasound. And she was told a “suction abortion” would be necessary based on how far along she was in her pregnancy. Jen’s stomach churned at the thought.

Jen reluctantly scheduled the abortion. But when she left the clinic, she received a call that would change her life.

A few weeks prior, Jen had reached out to one of our Telecare Women’s Clinics looking for other options. Now, the nurse that she had worked with when she first reached out was calling to check in and see how she could help.

During the call, Jen shared that she had already made her decision and scheduled her abortion. But as they continued to talk, Jen started feeling peace about her pregnancy… and about her baby.

Jen shared, “I could really feel it in their voice that they cared. And I’m not used to anybody really ever wanting to help me.”

In the end, Jen chose life for her baby.
