Dear fellow MoveOn member,

Ben and Jerry here—the ice cream guys. We've got old news and new news.

Old news: Billionaires are trying to buy our democracy. New news: We have
a chance to stop them.

A report out last week shows that just 12 megadonors—most of whom are
billionaires—contributed $3.4 billion to federal candidates and political
groups between 2009 and 2020.^1

You read that right: $3.4 billion to buy elections and stop popular bills
from being passed in Congress.

This is disgusting.

But with the Senate starting to consider the For the People Act—the
sweeping bill already passed by the House to expand voting rights and
reduce the influence of Big Money in politics—we're closer than we have
been in years to curbing the influence of money in politics and
strengthening the power of voters, not billionaires, to run our
democracy.^2

Which is why we're partnering with MoveOn to help pass the For the People
Act through the Senate and stop billionaires from buying elections. We're
asking you to join us in rubber-stamping bills with the message, "Stamp
Money Out of Politics." It's totally legal to do, and every stamped bill
becomes a mini-billboard that is seen by nearly 1,000 people as it gets
passed around.

[ [link removed] ]Just click here, chip in $16 or more, and we'll send you your very own
"Stamp Money Out of Politics" rubber stamp! The money will be used to help
MoveOn increase pressure on the handful of Senate Democrats needed to pass
the bill, and you'll automatically be entered in a drawing to win Ben &
Jerry's ice cream for a year!

Wow! An awesome dollar-decorator rubber stamp, a chance to help out
MoveOn, and a possibility of winning ice cream for a year—all while saving
our democracy? Hard to resist!

Seriously, John, this is a great way to get Big Money out of
politics—especially during a pandemic. Stamping bills is safe and socially
distanced, but you will still have a big impact as we build momentum to
pass the For the People Act.

These mini-billboards stay in circulation for 2.5 years, and each bill is
viewed by nearly 1,000 people.

And when you chip in to MoveOn, you're not just getting a self-inking
"Stamp Money Out of Politics" rubber stamp in return, you're also fueling
MoveOn's efforts to pass the For the People Act through the Senate, so
that we can make real progress on everything from climate change to
re-envisioning the police and fighting for racial justice.

Oh, and you'll also be entered in a drawing to win Ben & Jerry's ice cream
for a whole year!

More than 100,000 MoveOn members have already joined our protest and
stamped millions of bills. Will you join us?

Want to support MoveOn's work? Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP are
using the filibuster to obstruct bold progressive legislation on
everything from democracy reform and voting rights to gun control and the
climate crisis. We can't let them get away with it. We need to end the
racist filibuster—now. But we can do so only with your support.

Will you chip in to fuel the fight to end the racist and undemocratic
filibuster?
